| Carnet Discharge |

Carnets are discharged
when the goods listed for temporary exportation from India
have been returned to India within expiry date of the carnet
and there is documentary evidence to that effect. Carnets
can be returned either by hand or by post.

The ATA Carnet
with all pages issued should be returned to FICCI in original.

All used counterfoils
(particularly the re-exportation counterfoil) should be
duly endorsed by the relevant customs authorities.

To discharge
the liability of an ATA carnet, proof of re-exportation
of goods covered under it, has to be submitted.

Proof of payment
of applicable duty on goods sold and covered by ATA Carnet,
if any, has to be submitted.

Please note
non-fulfillment of discharge obligation of a carnet can
cause forfeiture of the security deposit, besides other
procedures as per law.
Provided
there is no evidence of the carnet entering into dispute,
the security deposit will be released as soon as possible
on basis of an Indemnity Bond (Download
format of Indemnity Bond).
